On the 16th of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter page to report 126 new infections of coronavirus.
From the report, the capital city, Abuja came out with 37 new infections while Lagos state and Plateau State came out with 16 and 9 new infections.
The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Kaduna -7, Abia - 6, Gombe-7, Ondo - 6, Imo - 5, Delta - 2,Ekiti -2 Oyo -2, Kwara -2. The other states with one new infection include; Bauchi, Katsina, Kano, Yobe, Ogun, and Katstina.
Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 56,604 infected persons while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,091. Thankfully, a number of 47,872 patients have recovered from the virus.
