Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is still alive, his daughter-in-law Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi confirmed.
On Thursday, there were speculations that Ajimobi had died due to coronavirus complications after he allegedly slipped into a coma.
However his daughter-in-law took to her social media page to debunk the rumour, she wrote;
”Thank you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time we will all die so wait first”

In a press statement disputing the rumour, Bolaji Tunji, Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy to Ajimobi stated;
“My attention has been drawn to the rumours circulating on the social media about my principal. Kindly disregard. We, however, continue to pray for him. Thank you all for the show of concern.”
