COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 197 new infections of coronavirus

On the 10th of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 197 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Plateau State came out on top with 83 new infections while Lagos and Kaduna State came out with 48 and 17 new infections respectively. 

Abuja, Ogun, and Katsina came out with 16, 11, and 7 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections include;  Imo – 4, Edo – 3. Nasarawa- 3,  Rivers – 2, Bayelsa -1, Oyo – 1, and  Osun – 1.

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 55,829 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,075. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered has risen to 43,810.
