Malala landed Abuja on her 17th birthday

Malala Yousafzai is spending her 17th birthday in Nigeria as she continues to throw her support behind the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. The world-renowned girls’ education campaigner flew 14 hours to Abuja, Nigeria on July 12, 2014 to possibly meet with President Goodluck Jonathan over the abduction of 200 plus schoolgirls by Boko Haram militants from a boarding school in Chibok, in north-east Borno State, on April 14. She has met with some parents of the abductees and a few of the girls who escaped from the Boko Haram detention camp. ‘It would be good if I go to Nigeria where girls are suffering and they need someone to raise up their voice’, Malala told ABC correspondent Amy Robach....
