The Current Pope of Roman Catholic Pope Francis has begin his longer awaited and first ever tour to Africa today.

According to reports from  Voice of America,  
After his arrival in Nairobi Wednesday, the pope will meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta and a group of diplomats at the State House.
On Thursday he is to hold an interfaith meeting at the Vatican's diplomatic mission in the Kenyan capital. Later in the day, he will conduct mass at the University of Nairobi.
On Friday the pope is to visit with the poor in Nairobi's Kangemi slum, and visit with youth at Kasarani Stadium.
In his later stops, he is scheduled to make a visit to a shrine to Christian martyrs in Uganda, and to visit a mosque and a refugee camp in the Central African Republic.
During his trip the pontiff is expected to highlight the effects of climate change, having previously said the underprivileged are disproportionately affected by changes in weather patterns. Conflicts between religious groups are also expected to be discussed during his trip.
