Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, started a hashtag on social media, #WeAreTired to encourage Nigerians to speak up about rape, senseless killings, Police brutality and other frustrations faced in Nigeria.
Tiwa Savage started the #WeAreTired on Twitter, discussing how annoying and frustrating Nigerians are still facing what exactly occurred with our parents, grandparents, great grandparents.
The popular singer wrote;
I’ve heard so many times how hospitals in naija refuse to treat emergency patients because they didn’t come with police report. Is this actually the law? Face with open mouth
2020, this is 2020 Nigeria and WE STILL DONT HAVE CONSTANT ELECTRICITY. Jesus Christ …
Even a zoo is cleaner and better than police barracks and we wonder why policemen are collecting bribes out there rather than protecting us.
#WeAreTired of saying the same thing our parents, grand parents, great grand parents have been saying about Nigeria
#WeAreTired of senseless killings, lorries falling on road and killing passengers, ACs catching fire and burning houses, young girls getting raped, young boys killed by SARZ, no jobs for graduates, please add your own frustration because my list is long
Drag me all you want but I started this hashtag and maybe it will get noticed by others n then maybe it becomes something bigger that will make a change whether big or small but point is I started something #WeAreTired
