President Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with some APC governors, due to the crisis rocking the ruling party.

The meeting, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is believed to be a move to resolve the multiple challenges threatening to tear the party apart.

Some of the APC governors at the meeting are those of Kebbi (Atiku Bagudu) Jigawa (Abubakar Badaru) and Plateau (Simon Lalong).

The meeting is holding less than 24 hours after a separate meeting between Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Mr. Buhari.

The APC has been in a leadership crisis since last week after the Court of Appeal Abuja upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as its National Chairman.

While Victor Giadom, a suspended deputy National Chairman is insisting he is the acting National Chairman of the party, the National Working Committee approved the appointment of former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as the acting chairman of the party.

Due to Ajimobi’s ailing state, the party approved the appointment of Hilliard Eta, the Vice-Chairman of the APC (south-south), as the acting Chairman pending the time Ajimobi will assume office.
