Nigerian singer, Tobechukwu Victor Ojoh popularly known as Peruzzi has released a statement in response to the rape allegations against him.
In the statement released by Peruzzi, revealed that he never raped or assaulted the lady who claims he assaulted her in 2012. He claims the allegation is false and the claim has also been refuted by a witness who the accuser claims were present.
The singer however condemned rape saying it is a heinous and cowardly act which he does not condone. He also apologized for the tweets he posted about 8 years ago claiming he is a rapist. He called the tweets irresponsible and ill-informed and is also not a reflection of who he was or is at the moment.
He went on to sympathize with victims and survivors of rape.
