Bordeaux and Super Eagles forward, Samuel Kalu has tested positive for Coronavirus, becoming the latest and second Nigerian player to test positive to the deadly virus.
Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu tested positive to coronavirus but has now recovered from it.
Samuel Kalu was tested on his return to Bordeaux but he came out positive, although he is currently self-isolating himself and receiving treatment.
Although Bordeaux had said that one of their players had tested positive for the virus, a recent report by the AFP disclosed that the player was Kalu.
The 22-year-old is currently self-isolating and has not attended Bordeaux’s training sessions since pre-season resumed.
Once the Nigeria international runs out negative, he should rejoin the rest of the squad on Monday, July 27, 2020.
