COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 160 new infections

 On August 28, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 160 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report they took to their twitter page, Plateau State came out with 44 new infections, while Lagos and Kastina came out with 27 and 18 new infections of coronavirus respectively. 

Edo Stae, Abuja the capital city, and Ondo came out with 15, 14, and 10 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections are; Oyo-9, Kwara-6, Abia-4, Nasarawa-4, Kano-3, Ekiti-2, Kaduna-2, Kebbi-1, and Ogun-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 53,477 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate in the country still remains at  1,011. Fortunately, the number of patients to have recovered from the virus is a total number of 41,017.
