On August 29, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 250 new infections of coronavirus.

From their report, Plateau State for the fourth running day came out on top with 69 new cases while the capital city, Abuja and Lagos came out with 41 and 21 new cases respectively. 

Delta State, Kaduna, and Bayelsa State came out with 14, 14, and 13 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections of coronavirus include;  Enugu-13, Ekiti-11, Bauchi-9, Ogun-8, Edo-7, Oyo-7, Rivers-6, Adamawa-4, Osun-4, Nasarawa-3, Ebonyi-2, Kwara-2, Gombe-1, and Imo-1.

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 53,727 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate in the country still remains at 1,011. Thankfully, the total number of 41,314 have recovered from the virus.
