On August 25, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control took to their twitter handle to report 252 new infections of coronavirus. 

From their report, Plateau State came out with the highest number of case for the day with 50, while Enugu and Rivers came out 35 and 27 new infections of coronavirus respectively. 

Lagos, which has the highest number of cases in the country, came out with 26, while the capital city, Abuja, Kaduna, and Ekiti came out with 18, 18, and 10 infections of coronavirus. 

The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Kano-10, Taraba-9, Anambra-8, Edo-8, Oyo-8, Delta-7, Ogun-6, Abia-5, Bayelsa-5, Ebonyi-1, and Osun-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 52,800 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate in the country has slightly increased to 1,007. Fortunately, out of the total number of infected patients, a total number of 39,964 have since recovered from the virus.
