COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 476 new infections of coronavirus

 

On August 20, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter page to report 476 new cases of coronavirus. 

From their report, Lagos came out on top with 235 new infections, while the capital city, Abuja and Kaduna came out with 44 and 41 new infections. Borna, Plateau, and Abia also came out with 33, 28, 13 new infections. 

Other states with new infections are; Edo-13, Rivers-12, Imo-11, Oyo-10, Kano-9, Kwara-7, Enugu-5, Katsina-5, Gombe-4, Ogun-4, Nasarawa-1, and Zamfara-1.

currently, NCDC have reported a total number of 50,964 positive cases of coronavirus while the number of people to have died from the virus has now reached a total number of 992. Fortunately, the number of people to have recovered from the virus is a total number of 37, 569.
