On August 15, 2020, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 325 new infections of coronavirus. 

Lagos which currently has the highest number of cases in the country came out with 87 new cases, while the capital city, Abuja, and Gombe came out with 49 and 28 new infections respectively. The other states with new infections include;

Ebonyi-20, Plateau-19, Kwara-18, Enugu-17, Imo-12, Rivers-12, Kaduna-11, Ogun-10, Edo-9, Oyo-9, Ondo-8, Osun-8, Ekiti-4, Borno-1, Kano-1, Bauchi-1, Nasarawa-1.

Crrently, Nigeria has a total number of 48,770 positive cases in the country, while the fatality rate has increased to 974. Well, out of the total number of confirmed cases, 36,290 individuals have recovered from the virus.
