COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 111 new infections of coronavirus

On the 23rd of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 111 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Lagos State and Gombe state came out with the highest number of infections for the day with a total number of 31 new infections while Kaduna and Abuja came out 18 and 15 new infections of coronavirus. 

The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Rivers (14), Imo (3), Kwara (3), Oyo (3), Bayelsa (2), Edo (1), and Osun (1).

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 57,724 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,102. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered has increased to 48,985.
