COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 124 new infections of coronavirus

On the 3rd of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 124 new infections of coronavirus. From their report, Lagos which currently has the highest number of cases in the country came out with 25 new infections while Abuja the capital city came out with 25 new infections of coronavirus. katsina, Kaduna, and Kwara state came out with 14, 11, and 8 new infections of coronavirus respectively. The other states with new infections of coronavirus on the 3rd of september include; Ondo – 7; Delta – 4; Anambra – 3; Oyo – 3; Edo – 2; Ogun – 2; Osun – 2 and Cross River -1. Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 54,587 while the fatality rate has increased to 1,048. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered is a total number of 42,627.
