COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 155 new infections of coronavirus

 

On the 7th of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 155 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Lagos State which currently has the highest number of cases came out with 41 new infections while Plateau state came out with 25 new infections of coronavirus. 

Rivers, Ebonyi, and Abia State came ut with 16, 10, and 9 new infections respectively. The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Ogun-9, FCT-9, Osun-7, Katsina-6, Kaduna-6, Ekiti-4, Taraba-4, Edo-3, Anambra-2, Akwa Ibom-2, and Kano-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 55,160 cases while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,061. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered have slightly increased to 43,231.
