COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 176 new infections of coronavirus

 On the 9th of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 176 new infections of coronavirus. 

From their report, the capital city, Abuja came out with 40 new infections while Lagos and Plateau State came out 34 and 26 new infections respectively. 

Enugu, Delta, and Ogun states came out with 14, 14, and 12 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Ondo – 9, Oyo – 8, Ekiti – 6, Ebonyi – 4, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kwara, and Rivers – 2, Edo, Osun, and Bauchi – 1.

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 55,632 infected persons while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,070. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered has risen to 43,610.
