COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 216 new infections of coronavirus

On September 2nd, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter page to report 216 new infections of coronavirus. 

From their report, Plateau State came out on top with 59 new infections of coronavirus while Rivers State and Abia State came out with 27 and 22 new infections of coronavirus. 

Lagos State, Oyo, and Enugu State came out with 20, 18, and 17 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Kaduna-11, FCT-11, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-4, Osun-4, Ekiti-4, Delta-3, Edo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, and Bauchi-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 54,463 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,027. The number of patients to have recovered from the virus is 42,439.
