COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 239 new infections of coronavirus

On 1st of September 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter page to report 239 new infections of coronavirus. 

From their report, Plateau State came out on top with 116 new infections of coronavirus while the capital city Abuja and Lagos came out with 33 and 19 new infections of coronavirus. 

Ekiti, Kaduna, and Ogun came out with 12, 11, and 11 new infections of coronavirus. The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Ebonyi-8, Benue-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Ondo-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Osun-2, and Bauchi-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 54,247 while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,023. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered from the virus is a total number of 42,010.
