Covid-19 Update: NCDC reports 153 new infections of coronavirus

On the 1st of October, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 153 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Lagos State came out with 81 new infections while  Rivers state and Abuja came out with 21 and 11 new infections of coronavirus.

The other states with new infections include; Ogun -8, Kaduna -7, Oyo -6, Akwa Ibom -5, Osun -3, Katsina-3, Edo -2, Nassarawa -2, Ebonyi - 2, Plateau- 1, and Kano -1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 59,001 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,112. Fortunately, the number of patients to have recovered has increased to 50,452.
