The Federal Capital Territory Security Committee has prohibited #EndSARS protests in the national capital, the nation’s capital, for alleged violation of the COVID-19 protocols.

The statement read, “While the committee recognizes the rights of citizens as regards freedom of association and movement as enshrined in the constitution, it has observed that the unruly conduct of the crowd and manner of demonstrations are in complete violation of the COVID-19 safety protocols which were put in place to safeguard the lives of citizens.

“These violations endanger the lives of not just the demonstrators, but also other citizens going about their legitimate concerns.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the COVID-19 guidelines regulating public gatherings recommend physical distancing, temperature checks, the use of facial coverings, amongst others.

“Clearly, all these guidelines were flouted by the protesters. Consequently, the committee directs that due to the dangers posed by COVID-19, all street demonstrations, protests and processions will not be allowed anywhere within the FCT.”

He said the operatives will be redeployed to other police formations and commands.

“The IGP notes that the Force is not oblivious of the ever-present need to combat armed robbery, kidnapping and other violent crimes in the country which was before now the core mandate of the erstwhile Squad.”

Vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has spoken about SARS operatives arrest and killing of young men in the country. 

According to him, the harassment of young Nigerians in the country is completely unacceptable, illegal, and unlawful. He also added that those who are accused will be investigated and prosecuted if found guilty.

On the 4th of October, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 58 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Plateau State came out on top with 18 new infections while Lagos State came out with 15 new infections. The other states with new infections include; Katsina-10, Ogun-5, Kaduna-4, Edo-3, Ekiti-1, FCT-1, and Ondo-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 59,345 positive cases while the fatality rate has slightly increased to  1, 113. Thankfully, a number of 50,768 patients have recovered from the virus.

While being interviewed with Chudiety, she revealed that she doesn't feel cheated and stated that she has made more money than the N85 Million grand prize after being asked if she felt cheated after getting disqualified from the house.

Big Brother Naija Season 5 winner, Laycon has disclosed his plans for N30 million cash prize. In an interview with Legit TV, he stated that his mother is his first priority, then added that people who showed him, love, through his journey in the house, will also benefit.

Big Brother Finalist of Season 5, Vee who is also regarded as Victoria Adeleye has spoken highly of her friend and winner of the TV show, Laycon. According to Vee, Laycon is a blessing and added that he prevented her from quarrels and fights. 

In Vee words;

“Laycon has got an inviting spirit, I can see a lot people talking about things our friendship has done to him, what they ain’t saying is what our friendship has done to me.

He has changed my mind about a lot of things, meeting him in the house is a blessing. I could have been worse, a lot more quarrels, but he was there for me too.”

In an interview held on Friday, Vee explained her relationship with some of the housemates. She claimed that the disagreements she had in the house with a few of the housemates were as a result of miscommunication. 

When asked who among the housemates you might not be friends with outside the house, she replied;

“in all honesty, it would most likely be Tolanibaj.”

She added, ”I feel like with everybody in general, I would be civil irrespective of who likes me or not. If something ever comes up and we have to work together I am going to have to do it, so it is best for us to be civil.

”One thing I have always stood by is I don’t know how to force friendships that is why I only had limited friends in the house.

”I don’t like to force things, judging from how the whole situation has gone from the house and things I have heard and seen, I do not think a friendship with Tolanibaj will work, so yes we will be civil.”

Dorathy's management has confirmed that Dorathy is currently recuperating after getting discharged from the hospital. If you could recall, Dorathy was rushed to the hospital yesterday after some health issues. 

Prince, who is a close friend from BBN also confirmed she is fully recovering from her illness.

President Buhari has sent a message to American President, Donald Trump after contracting and testing positive to coronavirus. The Nigerian president wishes the American president a quick recovery. 

A message released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

“President Muhammadu Buhari joins all citizens of United States of America in prayers for quick and full recovery of President Donald Trump and his wife, Melanie, who reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

The President notes, with sympathy, that the incident of COVID-19 in the White House manifests the challenge posed by the pandemic across the world, and difficulty in containing the spread.

“While wishing the American First Family speedy turnaround in their current health status, President Buhari urges more compliance among Nigerians to protocols, and adherence to advice of medical doctors, particularly epidemiologists.” 

While having a live video session on Instagram, Laycon got angry after he was asked by a fan if he would apologize to Erica.

Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has announced that schools in all levels such as Primary, secondary, and tertiary are to resume on the 12th of October, 2020. 

If you could recall that schools were shut down since March over the breakout of coronavirus in the country. Ever since, the country has been gradually opening all sectors of the economy. 

Mr.Adamu also noted that all schools should adhere to the guidelines before reopening. 

Winner of Big Brother Season 5, Laycon has disclosed why he didn't discuss the kiss attempt that caused problems between himself and Erica. 

During an interview with Beat FM, he revealed that he wanted to prevent Erica from having a third strike because he felt she might flare up.

On the 1st of October, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 153 new infections of coronavirus. 

From the report, Lagos State came out with 81 new infections while  Rivers state and Abuja came out with 21 and 11 new infections of coronavirus.

The other states with new infections include; Ogun -8, Kaduna -7, Oyo -6, Akwa Ibom -5, Osun -3, Katsina-3, Edo -2, Nassarawa -2, Ebonyi - 2, Plateau- 1, and Kano -1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 59,001 infections of coronavirus while the fatality rate has slightly increased to 1,112. Fortunately, the number of patients to have recovered has increased to 50,452.
