On the 4th of September, 2020, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) took to their twitter handle to report 156 new infections of coronavirus. 

From their report, Lagos State which has the highest number of cases in Nigeria came out with 36 new infections while Abuja and Oyo both came out with 35 and 29 new infections respectively. 

The other states with new infections of coronavirus include; Kaduna-10, Abia-9, Osun-5, Ogun-5, Enugu-5, Rivers-4, Nasarawa-3, Ekiti-3, Imo-3, Edo-2, Kwara-2, Katsina-2, Plateau-2, and Niger-1. 

Currently, NCDC has reported a total number of 54,743 while the fatality rate in the country has increased to 1,051. Thankfully, the number of patients to have recovered from the virus has risen to 42,816.
